Fanciful depiction of an experience I had of walking down a dark trail through the woods after a heavy rain. I noticed the tiny flowers and small leaves coming out, turned a corner and saw the most magnificent large Iris growing right on the edge of the trail lit up by shafts of light. My mother was an artist and my earliest inspiration. We went to galleries and art museums throughout my childhood, and I was encouraged to create art in every medium and genre I was interested in.
