Description
When you are shooting a yellowed mostly dead yucca, you don't have much to work with to explain WHY you took such a shot 25 times from different angles! What drew me to this? The twisted tangled silky filaments at the heart of the plant contrasting with the vigorous (but supposedly dead) spikey leaves that radiate out from the center. The plant comes back to life in the rainy season so this vigor is actually an accurate impression. But to make you see what I thought was so fascinating, I needed to get creative. Georgia O'Keefe is my main inspiration but digital techniques were my "paint."
